Well, there are days when you find a particular song that immediately lights up your mood. I had that day once when I came across this demo. It was about five or six months ago since I’ve discovered that demo on YouTube. And sadly, it’s still unreleased until this day! That song really reminded me to go back on track and achieve things in life. Come on, Noel, why won’t you just release it already?

The Noel I’m talking about is Noel Gallagher, and the song is We’re Gonna Get Back In The End by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. It’s a really amazing song, uploaded on the 31st of December, 2020. I’ve been waiting since I discovered it in January, and it’s still a demo up until now! So I guess I’ll just have to wait a little longer. But that’s fine; we’re gonna get there in the end anyway. Right?

Okay, so let’s talk about the song. I’ve already fallen for this song after two seconds of listening to the intro. Noel Gallagher’s soft voice that always somehow tells the story in his lyrics perfectly makes it better. I also love how this song has a really nostalgic feel to it. It makes me feel like the main character of a coming-of-age movie or an inspiring movie. I’m picturing the scene where the protagonist gets really inspired and starts to pursue their dream. Probably placed somewhere in the ending or the sequence before they will have to face the final “fight/struggle” in the movie, whatever it is.

I’ve already fallen for the lyrics since the first verse. I mean, it starts with this:

Remember the dream that you’re keeping alive

Remember your love for the loved outside

Don’t fight the feeling

Don’t stop believing in what you know

’Cause you can’t let go my friend

We’re gonna get there in the end

I was already so touched because I was feeling a little lost that day. Like I really don’t feel like I’m going anywhere with my dreams. But, this song really helped me to get back up on my feet.

Every part of the lyrics in this song tells a story. You have to listen to it all the way through. But if I had to choose one favorite part, I’d probably go with this part:

If you think that your faith is enough

The weight that you carry is love

And I agree. It’s not really enough to rely on faith. You can have faith that anything could happen in this life. But without love, it really is just a bland world full of possibilities. I actually came across a quote by John H. Stanford during class a few months ago. It says:

“The secret to success in life is to stay in love. Staying in love gives you the fire to ignite other people, to see inside other people, to have greater desire to get things done than other people. A person who is not in love doesn’t really feel the kind of excitement that helps them to get ahead and to lead others and to achieve. I don’t know any other fire, any other thing in life that is more exhilarating and is more positive a feeling than love is.”

This song hits me in a lot of directions. Especially every time Noel sings about trying to send love to the world around us (It’s a sad, sad song that the world keeps singing — Well, let love try to sing along). Plus, it’s not enough just to love. You need real love to do it (Love, real love is all I’m thinking of — Give it half a chance, and the world might find a way).

It’s a beautiful song, both lyrically and musically. I really recommend you guys to check it out! It’s on Noel Gallagher’s YouTube channel. Go look it up.

Well, I guess I have to say to anyone of you that might need this, don’t fight the feeling, don’t stop believing in what you know, we’re gonna get there in the end.
